Didn't pick up many coins but did pick up my 4th watch and I have 20 rings. I also have 2114 coins for a total of $159.78. I have detected 73 parks and schools with the F70 and it has worked on all of the sites. I have also detected on 7 different beaches and it has worked on every beach. Dry sand/ wet sand.
Trying out the Omega this week end. Got a loaner so will working with the Omega. Thanks for reading and Happy Trails....Z

You are swinging good Z. Let us know how you like the Omega. It took me a few outings with it, but I ended up liking it. HH jim tn

you have been bz :detecting:
let us know how the omega compairs to the f70

I guess I was not running Omega at max today? Maybe closer to not at all close to max? Thanks Jim
Walt I have been looking for a 2nd detector for some time. I have always had 2 or more detectors. Sometimes I just get maxed out on a detector and want to run something else. I want to go out detecting but would rather use another detector thing. It is sad to say FT and Minelab are about the only companies you can pick from. I don't like what Minelab is doing. White's has V3 out but that is worth more than my car. White's has the 5G, 6T out but I can not find anything on the forums about them. I can't even find field tests on them. So I am looking at FT. Garrett has the 350 out soon but I have no use for a 12" coil. Have trouble swinging a 6" coil. If you want to try something different it just isn't there. I guess I could go to one of those from China? Not!!!!
Please this is just the way I see it and I am not knocking your detector company or your detector. I have had detectors from many companies. Not from Troy, Wilson, Gilmore? it started with "G" and the Baron and I am sure there are a lot more that I would have liked to try, especially these guys some years back. Not any longer, I like the new simple light detectors. Sorry Enough... Thanks for reading and Happy Trails....Z

Thanks Jimmy. I would really like to know more about how 6T is working for you and what your getting with it? What kind of hunting your doing? Ease of operation? More about how it acts out in the field. I am not a hi-tech guy. I don't have a cell phone. I heat coffee in the micro and that is all the hi tech stuff I use. I am sure a number of people would like to hear of your results using the 6T. It looks to me anyway like it could be some competition in this fast moving metal detecting world? I have been on White's web site and White's here on finds and gad nothing except it should be a good detector? What kind of answer is that? Jimmy post it on this thread or on the Whites forum or PM me with your results. Even if you only have a few hours that is fine with me. Thank you and thanks for reply and Happy Trails...Z

I am very sorry Jimmy Clark. I don't know how I got that you had a 6T? So sorry. Yes the M6 is a great detector. I don't know how many times I read that and still saw 6T. Sorry Jimmy.
Desertdon teknetics makes Omega 8000.
The Omega is a very good detector. Runs quiet, light and finds loads of coins. If I would have started with the Omega I probably would say it is the best of the best. But I started with the F70 and it is light, runs kind of quiet? and it does find loads of coins. I like the F70 because I think it is balanced much better than the Omega. The Omega is nose heavy and the grip is too thick and puts strain on hand, thumb and the swinging arm. I did end up with a sore swinging arm. The two detectors pretty much detect about the same. The F70 is noisier. The F70 has the headphone jack under the arm and out of the way and right or left handed people can use it without any kind of adjusting of cords. The Omega has headphone jack for the right handed person and I am left handed and I was using my Koss headphones with the small light cord and the wind was blowing it around and the cord would get caught and I would have to stop and untangle the cord. I didn't like the little arrows pointing up or down when I hit a target telling me error. These are little things but little things that I don't have to deal with, with the F70. I have been trying to write this for over an hour and it just gets longer and longer. Sorry guys. These are my opinions and the way I see it. I am not trying to knock your detector what ever your detector may be. These are my preferences. Thanks for reading and sorry for so long... Happy Trails....Z
