Dog gone it Mud. I wanted to be like you and do one of those early morning runs. Didn't make it out at 4:30 but was at the site and detecting at 6:30. I think I will stay in bed until 7, eat and go out about 10. I really like those hours much better. Well here is the results of my early morning hunt. One heck of a dime day. The heart ring is 925. Yes, the F70 hits very hard on those signals...Well, if it helps you a little, I'm only good from 5am til about 9, and then I'm done...unless its overcast and cool. I am really firing on all 8 from 4:30 until about 10 and then its all down hill from there! I need a nap in the hot hours. My Momma says I was born at 5am..dont know if that has anything to do with it or not.

Mud your right the F70 does hit hard on dimes and quarters. When I hear the high sound don't even look at meter, just pin point and get ready to dig. I am already hunting 4 hours, that is a lot for early in the season. Usually takes 50 hunts or more to get to that point. Maybe I get in some 7 hour hunts?

Wow !Cajuncoinhunter the wife gets all the quarters for washing clothes. I usually give her enough to last the winter. We are apartment dwellers. I never worry, she always knows what to do with the money. I md for the fun of it. And she loves that I am gone out. She doesn't care about quality time together after 42 years....
