Haven't been out in awhile. Did a hunt yesterday but stayed on the beach. Haven't been feeling 100%. So have been sticking around the house and having some quality time with the wife. Wow! I am glad that is over!
Hit a park and it is one of those parks with a lot of EMI. Ran the Sens@70, Thresh@-3, Desc@10 and Tones 4H, GB@82... Any higher sens or any plus on the Thresh the F70 would just chatter.
Have been trying to improve my nickel count so dug more pull tabs, bottle caps and some foil. The more you dig the more you find. Thanks for looking.....Z

Elton I am glad someone got that. But again only a man who has spend a lot of time with a woman could recognize the humor in such a statement. Your wife will tell me your a good man El....
Mud the 100% I am talking about is: When you jump out of bed in the morning at 3AM signing I love life and can hardly wait to get out there and experience the world at its best. The kind of morning you know your energy tank is full to capacity and you want to go to bed at the end of the day with your tank on empty being fulfilled knowing you did the most today with the energy you were given. Well that is what my shrink tells me anyway... Just between you and me I think he is crazier than I am. But he does give me good money to listen to him... You can't beat that....
I have been thinking about a beep and dig detector lately. My nickles, jewelry and just odd finds are down for the last few years and I am wondering if I am just getting in that mode that I let the detector tell me what I should dig and not dig. Would appreciate some feed back on that???? I know the last beep and dig detector I had only lasted for a few weeks before I traded it off. Thanks for looking....z
 
Nice finds zeekeys. I know what you mean about the odd finds. Thats why I'm always digging pull tab after pull tab. Because one of the times it will be a gold ring. I had a solid 37-38 and up came my 1945P war nickel. No gold yet but its out there somewhere. You just have to run over it. And I will eventually. That's why I try to go every day. You never know what your going to dig. And to me that's what makes this incredible hobby worth my time and effort to get up and go. HH Tim
 
Thanks Tim 37-38 that is too high for me. Those guys are almost always pull tabs. I don't even investigate those numbers. This is why I am thinking of getting a beep and dig. If it sounds good I have no choice but to dig it. 30-32 nickels, 60-61 zinc penny. 69-70 copper penny, 72-74 dime, 82-84 quarter. 90's usually iron. Using these numbers gets me lots of coins. Dont do it! Stay with the F70! You did great with it last year, remember? I'll stab the high nickle poptops, depending on the area they are in...found 3 girls class rings, and my wedding band tones in that area too, but it sure is an waste of time so far this year.

Yes it was high numbers. But I never had those numbers come up before. So I decided to dig it. Now I can use that as a reference as long as it is solid. But hey you never know. No matter what machine you use you will always dig trash. Its all apart of the game. Its not an exact science. And yes sometimes I don't dig targets. Because of the many times I've dug up the numbers as pull tabs so I pass. Which I shouldn't do because you never know. Its still a learning curve everyday I go out. I don't know about every one else but that's my honest opinion. Also I go on different hunts all the time. Parks, home sites, relic hunts in the woods etc.... And when I get pull tab to zinc numbers I'm digging. Buttons. Indian heads. Lead bullets/ round balls, Buckles,pewter items etc..... And the 70's to 90's. Up come large cents, half cents, horse shoes, ox shoes, axe heads, large buckles just to name a few. Good luck. HH. Tim
