Tried another park for a few hours yesterday but only found a few wheat cents and some clad. So went back to the ball fields for a few hours and was able to find the 1951 Rosie and a silver ring that was pretty mangled. The Rosie was in a trashy area, where I found that by ground balancing every 15-20 minutes I was getting better recovery with the background tone (less time from being silent to having the background hum). 19 silver coins so far at this site and I am sure there are still some more but will have to work them slow and methodically. I had set a goal for 2012 of 100 silver coins. Don't want to jinx myself but I would be very disappointed if I didn't hit that by end of November when the ground starts to freeze.
