There have been times when I've (and I'm sure most of us) have gone home with less than $5 clad. It's so important not to get too disappointed in finding little after swinging a coil for a few hrs. Enjoy your day in spite of lack of finds and have fun. One time detecting on the beach, I found a Disneyland badge/pin that said words to the effect that it was the wearer of the badge's first time to Disneyland. Literally, about 10 minutes later, I got in a conversation with a Mother and her little daughter. It turned out that they had gone to Disneyland and it was her daughter's first time there. I gave her the badge I had just detected in the sand and they were delighted. It made my day and made another happy detecting memory for me! Those kind of memories are worth more than finding a ring, just a silver ring mind you but NOT a gold ring!!!lol
