Hunted out beach! Old gold and a cannon.....

Oops -forgot to post these!!!

Went to a "hunted out beach" and found a wee brass cannon, a few minutes later, found the carriage for the cannon also! This is the type that can be fired with a fuse and powder! May need to give it a shot and see if it still works! Pretty small, maybe 5cm long....(just the cannon by itself)

Also - a very old and very heavy men's signet ring (1940s?). And a small female 9ct!

ATX and the 8 Inch coil found the rings - ctx found the cannon!

That's a beautiful signet ring you found. You must be enjoying the spring. The ground in parks just froze solid today, so no more hunting in grass for the next 5 months. No snow yet, so I can only hunt in certain woods now in the loose black dirt under rotted leaves. But, I have found gold there before.

Some cool finds. The initials and art work on those signet rings is always a new mystery.
