New member
I was born and raised in Lowell,Mass, I made a screen box and would search under those steps front and back and sift that dirt found more silver coins under those steps, just think no air conditioning so they must have sat on those steps alot for I found more silver coins under them great shape also, cant do that in southeast Ga just to many snakes,. was under a farm house saw two, have c.o.p.d and been exposured to asbestos from working in to many chemical plants can't take a chance getting bit, You all have a great day.

What I meant to say was those homes and apartments I searched were old places around 1800 no air conditioning back then. My oxygen get low sometines hard to concentrate , Hope you all understand.

That's terrific, John. That's good advice, I think, to all of us to think like your thinking. I always try to think where people might have been back in the old days, and of course, you can sometimes get some great info from "old timers" or old pictures, like from the historical society. One other "food for thought" idea, is to try and find out where the old horse races, or gambling spots and carnivals, might have been, because people could have lost "loot" there too. Hope your breathing gets better, and I can only imagine how risky it is to search with all the piousness snakes you have in Georgia. I lived in Louisiana for a while, and there's some nasty snakes and alligators down there too. Take care. Marc.
