Huntress got her new Excal 800 today from Chuck @ Treasure Hut!

I am envious, because she has these really cool Koss yellow headphones. They are really sweet! I wish my 1000 had those headphones. If they break again, maybe Minelab can put those on for me. We are heading to the surf this evening for her maiden voyage. She's excited! Hope she does not spank me too bad!

Any idea when you are getting your Aquasearch unit back, also, how did it hunt before it was injured?

My trip to Lake Charles was a disappointment. Bad weather kept swimmers off the beach on the week of the 4th. Also, it rained the whole time I was there. Although, We still got out. One of our party had really good luck and got 3 gold rings, 7 silver rings, and some clad coins. Another found a small diamond ring. The third found a small child's silver ring and a pair of really cool shades. But, I was skunked, a few clad coins and a ring that looked just like a real diamond ring, which got my heart excited until I discovered that it was a junk ring.

Went out yesterday to a beach out in Surfside but only found two pennies, a nickle, and a lot of fishing weightson the beach, the water was much to turbulent to get away from the safety of the beach.

I sure hope that I have lots of luck tonite, I am sure Gulf Hunter will more than likely find his share of goodies, as he always does. But now it is my turn, I have her charging and fixed the cuff so it fits right around my arm and I am ready to go. Will give a full report of the hunt. Wish me luck. HH

You will be surprised at how much better this machine is than the 1000. The 800 is the real performer with much improved stability over the 1000. the 1000 is fine in very clean sand and locations with no RF interference. The 800 will handle these conditions well. Now, Go show GH how it is done.

Hi I just brought a minelab Quattro MP and my daughter a
Sovriegn she lives near beach in sarasota fl. she has never
had a detector before. does anyone have any trips
for hunting in that area
