I aint buying a Whites just yet, but this guy's find sure makes one think!

where is the guy that found 6000 coins? wasn't he supposed to get back to us?

I had a buddy who'd buy aarowheads at the antique store and when we'd go out hunting he'd call me over and show me the mint aarowhead laying there in the dirt he'd just "found". I'd look at it and of course there would be no dirt stuck to the bottom of it like all the others we'd find surface hunting.
Well one time I recognized the E-notch point from the antique store and called out on it. He stammered, started laughing, and pointed out he was just pulling my leg.
The thing is he has really found some nice stuff in the field and really doesn't need to pull anybodys leg. Heck, the 2nd or 3rd time he was out hunting he found the nicest Lizard Effigy I'd seen in any book. this piece was worth more than my 6 year collection!!! He also found an Adena pipe with nice little notches engraved on it.
I don't know what drives people to post BS but I bet it's something they'v done since they were kids.

I have a friend that has found plenty of keepers with a White's Classic. A lot of it is the person swinging the coil. A scary thing happens though when you put an excellent detectorist with an excellent machine. The ground they detect becomes barren.

they are not perfectly round and do not look like they were dipped in something gold. The details are sharp and not runny. the reason why this can be read below in Article about them. Also, they were not generally used as a circulating currency.
