I am digging the programing mode

Now that I dared to write my own program from this machine it adds a a whole new dimension from running it stock. I went back to the festival grounds and set it to quarters, dimes, silver, pennies. A very tight little square in the top. I was so nice walking over chain, bolts, wing nuts, tin foil, light bulbs, copper wire, crip ends- those beeped. Believe me you. Those carnies break every light bulb they can. All those little aluminum and brass sockets were a night mare last time I tried it there. And when I came to the spot with the BB gun machine gun stand was I stopped in my tracks and looked at all the BB's on the ground and said "0oh $@%#" There had to be 500 bbs all over that area there. It walked right through and didnt even blip. There was pennies below that spot. But after 3 to 4 inches the gravel is packed so tight its like concrete. In about 150 feet by 12 feet wide I came out with over 3 bucks in change. I am sure I passed on another 2 bucks but it was to deep to work that hard for it. And if there was gold it will stay there for now until I can make a better program to work in all that junk.
I love driving this Cadillac

I find the same some time. I usually run wid eopen in IM -16 to -12. But some days its nice to jsut walk around with a tight disc pattern, and just hear the good signals.

Yes you probably will miss the iffy signals and stuff that is masked when the machine nulls, but some days it is just nice not to have to work to hard.

Try setting response to Fast, though, will help ina trashy area where you the pattern is knocking out lots of crap

The other day I was bored and didn't have any good old spots to hunt, so I want to a local elem school and just programmed a quarter into the machine. I was surprised at how well it worked! I got 23 quarters in 2 hours and very little trash. The trash I knew was trash, but still dug it anyways because it was on the 'brink' of being a quarter so I wanted to see how well the machine picked them out from trash.

It was amazing at how well it discriminated everything else out!
