I am getting a Omega 8000, What is the easiest way to set it up?

disc 16, sensitivity just under chatter, ground balance, GO! (will be in 3 tone by default)
 
I set up the same. 3 tones is perfect. I like a quiet ride so I use a little less sensitivity

Really easy detector to use.
