I AM IMPRESSED !!!!!!!I

I have a GTI 2000 that's 10 -11 yr.s old that I only used a little for coin shooting. Last Fri. I sent it in to Garrett to have it transformed into
a GTI 2500. Mon. there was no mail delivery, so it was delivered on Tue. Wen. I called them to make sure it arrived OK, ( I do not trust the U.S. Mail )
and was told that it had indeed made it OK and was in the repair dept. waiting its turn to be worked on. I received a call from the repair dept. this
morning telling me that the work had been done and as soon as I payed up it would be sent out !!!!!! Now I ask you HOW DO YOU BEAT THAT
KIND OF SERVICE ???????? I just don't think you can ! I also sent in my EXCAL for re pair's at the same time ( i own and use several different
Mine Lab's also ) Will be interesting to see just how long it takes to get it back.

Garrett's service is tough to beat. I field tested the 2000 way back then, in about 1997 as I recall. Just curious - what did they charge for the update.

As to the cost of the up-grade: Do not have a break down yet; have to wait until it is shipped back with the invoice.

I Had a Treasure Hound coil added in ( 250.00 ) . Shipping = ? New chips & boards & 9 " coil $400.00 +/_

Total came to $ 685.00. Still cheaper than a new one + new technology ( the GTI 2000 was 10 or 11 yr.s old )
