I am learning to love my ACE 350, but..............

.......I sure wish it had a volume control on it. I really dont like wearing the headphones, but because the tones are so loud I feel it a must to wear them when in parks and such where people are around because it will surely draw attention to myself. Anyone know a way to quiet these things down? Just sayin.
Thanks.
Ken.

Get a pair with volume control and adjust it down to a whisper that should fix the problem.

What i'm saying is I dont want to wear phones at all, I just wish the volume wasnt so loud without the phones. I'm gonna try to muffle it in some way. Thanks Hank.

I understand know sorry, there is a stealth light that is on ebay it just plugs in the the adapter and lights up when its over a target, but in daylight it may be hard to see. Good luck,Hank

[size=large]hank hit on it already. there's an example on you tube. there's also examples of how to install a volume control in the ace 250. same as an ace 350 i imagine. some folks just don't like headphones.

I wear the headphones around my neck so i can still hear the sounds but othr around cant.

Low tech idea, but have you tried putting tape over the speaker grill area at the base of the control head? It may not make it as quiet as you need, but it should help a little. Also, you won't void your warranty by opening the housing.

Low tech, thats me. Lol. Actually thats what I had in mind, just havent tried it yet. I am one of those that doesnt like headphones. I can see it now...Introducing the new ACE 350 Plus! The same ACE 350 you've grown to love, but now with volume control! Seems like it should already have it.
Thanks guys.
Ken.

I use the small mp3-player headphones, which allow me to hear the low volume signals when pinpointing. They are also better than the usual large headphones because you can hear your surroundings. (Especially when there are wild animals in the area...). I use the ones with foam, not rubber, because this way I can keep them slightly out of my ears so the volume doesn't bother me.
