Oh man.....today's unbelievable metal detecting finds are one of my best ever! I worked about 1/8 mile in the river and pulled all this out today. It pays to do a little research of areas too! I really like my new metal detector, the Garrett Vortex VX9. There were some issues earlier this year upon it's release, but they have all been corrected. The corrections can be done on line. No need to send it in for repair. That's great technology! You have the option of using a graph on the screen which actually can show 2 targets at once. I often use the graph to go searching for Canadian coins. It makes it so much easier. I am guessing I dug about $600.00 worth of Canadian coins this year. Another great hobby, that along with prospecting actually pays you to get exercise. Much better the joining a gym.🥰 Lots of photos today.

There's a huge boulder in the river. When the water is low, you can access it and even walk around it in somewhat shallow water. I wore my hip waders today.

I aso found these near the boulder too. The strands were all wrapped together in a bunch.

Not sure what it is, but it's very unique!

Here some more tackle. Some of the hooks have rusted off the lures. This river is freshwater.

I'm always amazed at the amount of coins I find, usually in the shallow water.

These were some more of the unique finds.

This is the gold I got highbanking at this same location a couple of days ago.

It's a string of bells (plastic) and other cheap jewelery. Pic.#2 is not a coinring. I see what you mean though, it does look like one.
