I can't believed it, I got thrown off private land.

Even after I got permission.
Last Friday I ask a worker if I could MD the house he was working on. He said sure. I said are you the owner. He said no and I said I won't MD property without the owner's say so. He said no problem, come back Monday. He said he will talk to the owner by then.
The weather didn't cooperate and I didn't get back till today. When I got there the worker said everything is OK. Go ahead a MD.
Half a hour later a man approached me. He told me I was on private land and to leave. I did a lot of finger pointing at the worker and apologised to the man. He acted like I was stealing from him, so I offered him the trash I had pick up. He wasn't impressed. Neither was I.

So I went to friendlier grounds, except it was still frozen. Then a city car pulled up and I thought, "Oh no, not again."
This time the man was friendly and wanted to know more about MD'ing. He also gave me four good leads on houses I could MD.
Well this is the total. The big thing in the middle was from the first house.

I've been thrown out of worse places John. That looks like a military button. The other, I just don't know. Woo, I'm off for 7 days. Look out, I'll be posting some finds.

That's a General Service button, most likely from the WW2 era.

Thanks for the come back on that button. I'm dumb about buttons. I thought without a loop in back, it couldn't be a button.

You sure get a lot of days off. Where does one get a job like that? I had one a long time ago where I got a half day off for every day I worked - with pay. Find lots of goodies to post. Still raining here and weather guy says more of same all next week. I'm growing webs between my toes.

With my rotation I work 15 days a month and I'm off 15 days a month. 7 of those days (my long change) is in a row. I couldn't work a 40 hour week with just weekends off after having this schedule. If you ever want to un-retire I'll get you a job.

For me I work 9 hour days Monday thru Friday. Too tired, too late to do much after work. Weekends (WHEN THERE ISN'T 20" OF SNOW ON THE GROUND AND IT'S FROZEN 5 INCHES DEEP) are when I get to do my MDing. They way it looks right now I won't be able to get out until middle of March or so. :rage::rant::yikes:

That's kind of like the job I had on the river boat, six hours on, six hours off. You could take 15 days off after working 30 days or work 60 days and take 30 days off etc.. Nice thing about it if you were single you could be dropped off at home or at any town or city on the Mississippi River system from one end of the U.S. to the other and get picked up when you blew all your money.:).

You got snow and we've had rain for a month and a half with a dusting of snow. Weather forecast is for more rain. I'm sick of it.

button looks like a civil war button. The other thing looks like a small brass knuckle on a key chain.
