I could use a little prayers

last month or so my right hand has been causing me a lot of pain, well last 2 weeks everyday when I wake in the morning my fingers are locked down towards my palm and it is painful to "peel them open" I saw the doctor today and he said I have what they call "trigger finger" and possibly a start of carpal tunnel (spell?)

he put me on some medication and I go back tommorow for shots, if it doesn't improve, I will have to see a specialist. He says it is caused my repetetive movements and I work production in a factory, so there ya go.

Anyways, your prayers will be appreciated, it is painful and quite aggravating. thank you

Praying for you goes4ever! May God heal your hand and fingers and that you won't have to have surgery! I know people who have had surgery for this painfulness and you might have to have surgery also! It is up to God and His will be done in all our lives! Repetiveness is what causes it and I've heard it really aches! Even spending to much time on the Computer, especially playing games will do the same! I guess we aren't supposed to use our hands and fingers in the same old way all the time, but if you have to do so on your job, what is a person supposed to do but pray about it! Wish you the best and God's blessings for a quick recovery for your Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and any other illnesses!

God Bless!

Carpal tunnel syndrome...too much stress on my left hand from pulling up my heavy scoop packed with low tide mud.

anyway, I would wake up every morning with all fingers numb...and the 4th finger "locked" many times.

had a nerve conduction test ( painless) which confirmed my Dr's suspicion of CTS...He gave me some options: buy a wrist splint and wear it in the evening and during sleep so that my wrist does not bend; injection of Cortisone if it gets worse; and finally surgery if none of the previous is successful

Well...the very word "surgery" makes me shudder! I bought the wrist brace from CVS ( Futura brand.$25.00) and wear it as directed...fantastic! no more numbness in the morning; no more "locked " 4th finger...I 'm happy! Just got to watch it with the scoop...maybe cut down on detecting time

but surgery????? FORGET IT!!

Hope this helps you..will you be having a nerve conduction test? I would strongly suggest trying the wrist splint...works great for me
