I dig iron occasionally. I might be a sword,axe head,helmet, buckle, or other interesting relics.
Was out one day in October last year hunting relics on a old ground(yes I know all ground is old:lol:) with my 6"DD. A lot of buttons close to rocks where recovered.Couple of coins and some other bits and bobs.Hunting relics with that coil is fun.You reach places cant do with bigger coils.

Got a "big" signal just aside of an old gravel road.Was digging down to a greath depth and found this horse shoe.Yes I know its just a horse shoe,but its dated to the Renaissance 1700 Th century. Think its a fun find,like
 
I love that shoe Mike! Nothing like that to find here.
Being a Farrier and a history lover, stuff like that is right up my alley.

I have found some old shoes also. Cant help but dig them they sounded so good with my XT. Mine are from around 1890 not nearly as cool.
