These two pieces come from a site that has been occupied since 1609. Civil war encampment by Union and a working farm for the 1700s and 1800s.

Any help is much appreciated.
 
Your first item is a hub boxing for a wagon wheel. My date guess would be 1750 to early 1800's. I'm not sure of the second piece, but it looks wagon related as well.

Thanks, I was leaning that way but was unsure. They were both dug out of the same hole about 14 inches. All the civil war items are coming out 6-9 inches for the most part.
