help Clint

Clint, I work on them everyday and have tryed them all and webroots spysweeper is the best!! I always get mine off of winMX or edonkey. Hope this helps.

You must not have downloaded the correct FREE version that I gave you a link to. There should be no need to register anything, just scan it, select everything it finds for removal, and tell it to remove it. You either need to go back and try it again or probably get somebody to help you that can figue out what you're doing wrong.
I'm going to re-post what I told you originally and try it again, I geuss. If you do what it says, it will work. Here goes:
Clint,
Go to the link I'm providing below and download the free AdAware Personal Edition software. This is a program to get "Spyware" and other ad-generating software and web browser "hijacking" stuff off of your computer.
Download it, run the program, make sure you tell it to "Check for updates" and get the updates. The tell it to scan your computer. Whatever it finds, select to get rid of it all. This should take care of it.

Thanks Mike. I guess iam doing something wrong. After ssscan i see nothing that says remove bad files and such.
Thanks Clint

I use adware se too
when you get the list of files that have been identified.
highlight one and then right click.
from the menu select (select all)
then hit next, remove selected objects.
then open the quarantine list and highlight the quarantine file and delete.

awhile back. I had an anti virus program that I kept updated and still got hit. I tried everything recommended here and then some and still could not get rid of the problem. Some of these virus' will hide themselves as a normal system file and after you delete the problem the hidden file will reinstall it. I had to delete everything, format my hard drive and start over to get rid of the problem. I know have anti virus, firewall, and anticipate software that I keep up to date. That was a very expensive lesson.
Lesson learned...Be very careful and have your computer protected, especially when "accidentally" surfing porn. Some of those porn sites have real bad virus' hidden in them.
