hi all had a huge day at the tot lots today i was out for 5.5 hours. i hit a area that someone"s been cherry picking the $1-$2 coins so i had high hopes of finding a gold ring.
i found the ring at the second tot lot of the day it was full of junk & lower value coins so i hit it hard i got a nice 5c tone dug down 3 inch still in the hole dug a couple more inches and it"s out of the hole so started waving hand fulls of bark over the coil and finally see it at first i though it was a fizzy bottle top but on closer inspection it"s a 9k gold + sapphire ring sweet.
at the next tot lot i got a nice signal under the swings dug the hole & saw gold ring shining up at me but it was not to be it turned out to be junk oh well cant win them all.
the rest of the hunt was uneventfull more coins & a ton of junk all up i found 111 coins for $31.10 & found 102 pull tabs to go to my ever expanding collection. that's all for me.

Looks like a nice ring. That looks like a Trifari mark. That is a nice vintage ring.
 
Beautiful ring .Digging the junk will eventually yield rings..:thumbup:
 
thanks all. Awhitster it"s made by siffari which is in Canada & USA so it"s a long way from home.
i went out yesterday with a i"m going to find gold attitude i think this makes a big difference to finding gold or not. this is the only gold i"v found in no mans land (the area around the edge of the tot lots with no play equipment) most of the gold i"v found has been under or near the swings or near the slide.
Joel (ya gotta dig the trash to get the cash) you probably cant see it but most of the trash was little balls & bits of tin foil i dug hundreds of the little-(enter appropriate word)-:ranting: but my gold count has gone up heaps since i started digging them.
