I found my 11th Half dollar so far this year

Mark in S.E. IA

First off I have a lil statement to make. Form now on I can not say anything about where I am MDing other then I found it in the dirt. Their is someone on this site that lives in my area that I can not trust anymore. Earlier this summer I found a few public places that I found some nice silver coins at and I told him about them and told him that I wanted to wait until we got some good rains before and then we can both get together and hit these places. Well he waited until we got some good rains but he seem to forgot to give me a call this past month when he went to those places and cleaned them out on his quest to find a 100 silver coins. I guess greed can get the better part of some people.

I've met some really great ppl on this site that has been a lot of help to me but I met one that is not so great..........

Sorry about the rant but I just had to get something off my chest

Ok now for the good stuff that I found in the dirt. I can not believe my 11th Half Dollar this year. When I come across this signal it was a locking #45 and screaming like it was a rusty bottle cap with iron grunts all over the place. I walked a round it twice before I walked away from it, yes I walked away from it, lol. There was a lot of rusty bottle caps in this area but most of them come in between a dime an quarter but this one was locked on 45 so I went back an checked it some more until the lil voice in my head said, just dig the damn thing and find out what it is. To my surprise it turned out to be a 42 Walker. Boy am I glad I went back to it.

The other cool find I found the past two days was the Little Orphan Annie Telematic Decoder Badge. I really like find things like that.

here's a pic's of my better finds the past 2 days plus 18 wheat's that are not in the pictures.

Super finds as usual Mark!
Bummer about the other guy. Live and learn I guess.

Great recoveries Mark. You've had a heck of a year. Congrats on the 11th Half Dollar, and again, for finding those first 10. Sorry to hear about the "problem" you've had with the other folks. It probably not much comfort, but many of us have had similar experiences. Just keep doing what you know is right and your rewards will be plentiful. You have proof of that with your great recoveries. HH Randy

Awesome! You've had a super year for sure! Congrats! Too bad about about the other fella. Sometimes you just don't know who to trust!

I have had the same thing recently in one of the civil war camps I have found. A couple (husband and wife) begged a hunting buddy to take them to a place they might find a bullet. They coin hunt all over the place but wanted to find a relic. Well needless to say they have been in the camp basically everyday for the last two months. Now to find the next one and here they are hard to come by.

superb hunt Mark......I am sorry, that this other guy stabbed you in the back. Some people are greedy and just can't be trusted

Great finds.............. Where you find them.............. JUST jokin................sorry about the good buddy............... keep up the great finds..right behind ya

Super hunt 11 half dollars in one year thats great, I just hunt by myself so there are'nt no problems like that for me.
Congrats on a good hunt.

Those are some nice finds. I especially like the cream bottle cap. Is the decoder badge the one with the 1938 date on it in the right hand picture? I assume it is, but you know what they say about assuming!

Hey guy's thanks for the very nice replies.

I'm sorry to hear that I am not the only one that has had problems with a hunting partner.

Wow you are on a silver streak! 11 half dollars? Man I haven't even found my first one yet lol. Too bad about the other fellow "forgetting to call you" You were nice enough to invite them along and this is how they repay you? Heck you ever brought me to one of your sites, I would buy you lunch just for taking me. Now if Connecticut was a little closer to S.E. IA lol Ride solo and keep making these nice silver finds! - Jim
