I got fed up and quit my job last night....

Pete in MI

New member
amid false accusations, lies, being kept from doing my job, getting my hand slapped by the supervisor without explanation - really not figuratively but actually slapping my hand, getting shorted out of 30 minutes of overtime pay and so so much more I had had enough.

Later I called back...after the wife was in tears as we would have no income...I talked to the personnel manager who said my job is still here and to come in the next morning (today).

I have been up since 2 AM writing up the major cause of the problems to give to the management above this individual for action. He has caused more harm than good for the owner - the owner will find out soon just how much grief. There could have been lawsuits for sexual harassment, age discrimination, sexual discrimination, shorting my paycheck, and so much more. It even has gotten to the point I have to ask him for my maintenance keys that he locked in his office to keep them from being lost...which they never have but I did get called in the other night because he lost the key to his office and I had to replace the lock. So he now has all keys in his office.

Management put a guy in charge who was not up to it and has caused a lot of problems. Let's see if they 'defend their own' or get rid of the guy and get someone who knows how to do this task properly.;

Was told no more over time.....this guy kept keeping me working late and if I came in early to get everyone's breakfast before 9 he'd have me working...even if my food was there getting cold and then complain we were eating 'on the clock'. I put in 114.5 hours one pay period. This time it is 92 hours in two weeks and the managers keep telling us no overtime...so how does one get thru to this guy that I am off the clock and on the way home or in early to get everyone's breakfast - not to work more hours.

Taking the keys away only makes getting the job harder to accomplish. He took away some keys earlier so then I had to ask to get the keys to the bar and kitchen to do work I needed to do.

Anyway, his boss is in house today as well as the Dr who owns the place. Let's see what happens.
Only God at this point knows how this is going to turn out.

hope the higher ups make the right decision! arent there laws about after so many hours you are supposed to get overtime pay?

Don't allow satan to opportunity to get his way! Prayers on the way!

Sorry Pete about all the problems on your new job, but hold yourself up and tell them the truth! If the owner doesn't want to listen or hear what is going on....then take it to the Lord in prayer more than ever, as God in Jesus' name will work it all out if you will keep the faith in Him and do that which is expected of you! Speak the truth in love and then let God take it from there! He has provided you a job so far and He will continue to do so, if you will give Him praise and glory for it....even before you see the good results of His working in your favor!

When I had problems with a co-worker which was not very often but when I did, I just prayed, Lord, please move this person to another and better job or move me to another and better job! The co-worker and I remained but there was peace by God working it out for me and her! God works in mysterious ways but you have to pray and ask Him....even if you can only say, Jesus help me! Amen! :angel: God Bless! Betty

Good luck Pete
Jeff
