I got in the water today

I water hunted today. This area had 3rd Corps Army of the Potomac troop. They were there 162 years ago to the day. I found a sheriff tag. I don't think it's civil war.

Great finds…. And I bet the water was nice too…. That’s one way to beat the heat and keep detecting…
I tried river hunting for the first time last year and had a ball finding coins… all modern except for a late 17- early 1800’s large cent that I found near an old ferry crossing.

Thanks buddy. For me water hunting usually is a shit show lol. But once in a while I find what I'm after. That's cool you've had success. HH
