@ Wendy's I got an 1904 Indian Head in very good condition in change. Also '64 penny.

Thats what my wife always says when she finds money in parking lots. I tell her that I prefer to dig my money. Its the antisapation thing, I love it <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
 
I step out of a restaurant or store and my eyes go straight to the ground.

My wife found a 50 dollar bill foldedup very small by doing exactly what you described (In a large parking lot) .
 
We sent him right back out but he only returned with a baby bunny...soaked, but in good shape.
We made him return it.
The bunny...not the $20!
