This is the second full day of hunting with no problems. I just can't run Sen. as high as I could with my old XSII.
Really settled down and enjoyed the day. No old coins today but lots of clad and I guess thats good cause it gave me a chance to see the machine work.
I'm pleased so far as long as the screen don't give me problems. It probably would have by now. :jump:

doing very strange things. I tried what Minelab told mo to try many different times...but mine only got worse. I was told to drop the gain down to 3 and actually raise the sensitivity way up. I tried that...and I also tried gain at 3 and sensitivity clear down to 14...and it just would not function as it should. I was also given suggestions about ground cancelling and how to hold it to point away from cel towers or cel phones etc. I went to 5 different locations with the SE and it just wouldn't function. I had a buddy try out his SE at three of the locations and his worked fine with the SAME settings as I tried...but mine would not. I had numbers stick and never move even if I tried going over two or three more targets. They just stayed on the same numbers. Same thing in Smartfind...the cursor would just stick in one spot and not change no matter what other targets I went over. Many times the cursor would go all the way to the upper left of the screen. I then had split screen problems on numerous occasions. Sometimes the left half of the screen would drop an eighth of an inch...then I would have to turn it off and restart. It would be okay for an hour or so...then the screen would completely split and the left side would drop 1/2" or more and go crazy. I'm glad to hear your SE is working better for you after dropping the settings somewhat. It didn't work for me but my machine seemed to have quite a few glitches. Sometimes that happens with a new product or detector until some small bugs are worked out. I sent mine back a few days ago and I am looking forward to getting my new SE here. Sandy at Minelab customer service has been great.

First.... when did you get your machine?
Second....Did the split screen and the other problems right off?
And third... did you try rebooting it?
