I had to work for it

Well these are from 2 hunts actually. Yesterday I went to the old park where I had just about given up on finding any silver. I hunted a few different areas and found some modern coins and thats about it. Then I went to a real trashy area near a parking lot and low and behold I dug a wheat-1920d :O, my oldest coin yet and 25 years older than anything from this park so far. A few feet away I dug the old Remington 12g brass, it looks pretty old and probably was a paper shell. I worked a grid area and got nothing else until on my return pass I got a good high pitch. I have never found one before but somehow I knew this was a silver dime. It sounded high and was just to the left of the top right corner on the screen. Sure enough, silver #2 a 1926d Mercury! I was pumped because this park has been hit real hard through the years.
This evening I went back to the lot where I found the silver quarter. I hunted only a small part of it but tried to be real thorough. I mostly dug aluminum, but I did get a 1918 wheaty, the buckle, and the pin or whatever it is. It looks like someone riding on a seahorse or dragon or something? I did some reasearch on the old site and it looks like there were houses there aroun 70 -80 years ago. One area I hunted, my machine almost completely nulled for like 20 feet. I guess maybe it was alot of nails?? I had IM set at -6 but it only rarely chirped. Anyway I had a good time and dug my oldest coin again with the wheat. I also nicked the dime on the edge a little.:(

Thanks Dirtflipper! I'm real happy with it.

I need to correct my first post- my IM is at -13, not -6.

Nice coins. Get out as often as you can. It'll be a long winter!
