I have a chance to buy a Tesoro Pantera. What is a good price?

I've seen pics, and it's in really nice condition. It has just returned from a tune-up from Tesoro as well. Any ideas?
 
All depends on how bad you want it ! JMHO ! it is one of many great detectors made years back Never had one but had a Original Bandito and wished I had it back but if I got the chance to buy it back right now which I know there is no chance cause I dont know where it is LOL I could probably only be able to offer no more than $300.00 for it and that would be if it was in near graet condition and that is only because Tesoro has so many great detectors now that are excellant in there own way!Like I said this is JMHO!
 
Hopeyou get it I would be interested in your results with it I heard it was one of the best models of its time
 
Very hard unit to find in nice condition....one of the best Tesoro notch units as it has manual ground balance...one knob is a dual function for disc and notch and was easily bumped which bothered some...guess it depends how much you are willing to pay.....excellent gold jewelry unit with notch and tones and audio variances in its all metal non motion pinpoint...

I have read a lot of your posts about the variances of audio on the differences between pulltabs and gold rings. I understand that you are using the slower manual retuned (no-motion) all-metal mode to tell the difference, a few question please. What sweep speed do you use to tell the difference? Also does this only work on shallow targets? Thanks for any info on this subject.
 
Just found out my wife's maternity leave is not paid. Her school decided to do away with paid leave this year, and we are due in April. Maybe I can get a few tests in before, as I am dying to try one!
