It will be for an 1803 large cent that I dug here in south central Pa. The contest will be for the neatest find(coins, relics, whatever) according to my 16 year old son as he will be the judge. The reason for this is he is a junior in high school and plays football for the school and I would like him to see some of the history that we try to preserve. I hope that it will be an educational tool for him as he would like to go on to college. The plan is I would like him to take the neatest find and do a paper on it, but that is yet to be decided. So if you want Sunday night post your neatest find from the weekend and post it under this thread if he picks your find I`ll send you the large cent and let you know the reason for his decision....Hope everyone gets out and digs a goodie or two...HH...Bruce

How are you doing, haven't talked for awhile.Contest sounds great!! I'm loving my MXT,can't wait for the cool weather to get deep in the woods. Mike and I went water hunting Tuesday and this is what I came out with.Bottom piece is a set of gold teeth!!!H/H JOE

Put those gold teeth on and you could be the "Mac Daddy" <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

Nothing great but I think this beat up NY button has a little character and the fact that I was the 1st person to touch it in 140+ years makes it special to me.

Hey Bruce, this is the best and oldest coin I found with my MXT this weekend. 1899 Indian Head Penny. At least it was before 1900.

here is my entry. It is a 1902 barber dime minted in san francisco. Best item I found this weekend.

Thanks for the contest Bruce. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
