I Have a Curosity Question for Everyone

I think you would pick up a lot of business that you didn't have before. As for the answering machine and leaving a message....as long as you have some type of set hours that you ARE available to be there live...I don't think you will have to worry about people not leaving a message and calling another dealer. Whatever hours you do set though...it would be good to be there and available for live conversation.
 
It's almost unbelievable, but true that many don't use a computer these days...That is changing rapidly...I'm not sure of the numbers but from news reports, I've heard that 30 % do online shopping almost exclusivly...myself included...at least for electronics & larger ticket type items...When I go to web sites...usually the sales tax is a thing of the past & if one site offers free shipping & the other does not & they are BOTH asking the same retail...Who do you think I'm going to do business with...as far as the telephone thing goes...My monthly bill includes about 60 minutes of long distance whether I use it or not so I'm not sure that the toll free # is as big a draw as it was 10-15 years ago...even if I decide to purchase something locally I always go on line first....Just being "PRIMARILY" an on line store does not mean that you are not "FULL" service. Emails answered promptly also factor in....My last purchase was an X-1 probe.I was gonna order from a closer dealer in Oregon BUT my email was not answered for almost two days...I ordered from a dealer who answered the same day...
 
I think, for what thats worth, your going to sell products if you have them online. So do what you have to do brother to keep a roof over there heads and food in their mouths.
