This whatsit measures just less than 1 inch by 1 inch. When I first dug it I assumed it was a part of a lighter because that's what the wheel resembles. It has initials engraved on it as seen in the photo. There is no hole drilled up to the wheel as one would expect if it was a lighter. It is very heavy and is made out of some copper alloy and was once plated with a gold toned metal.
