I hunted the police dept. side walk.

kickback

After Cwilks post about his experience I went into town and hunted the sidewalk between the police dept. parking lot and the school teachers parking lot. There are 2 narrow strips of grass about a total of 4 feet wide and 100 feet long.I was amazed at all the clad in the ground in that little spot.I found about $3.50 in clad, two wheaties,1932 plain and a 1952-d and a sterling silver ring.I found a 1944 war nickel also.I had 2 jailers,4 deputy sheriffs and 2 dispatchers come out and check on my progress.I was there at shift change.Everybody was surprised with my results. One lady deputy asked to try my detector. She found a zinc and was all excited.I told her next time I get to try her Glock 40.I got 3 "hot tips" on where to go hunt.I had already been there but I thanked them.Bill

Your living on the edge dude . asking a cop if you can shoot her gun  that's sooo funny. sounds like a good hunt.

I have yet to have a negative experience with the police. More often it's like kickback's experience ...with tips offered on places to try. They know about construction areas like sidewalk tear outs and any dirt thats been moved around.
