i just bought a new 12X sunray for my surfasplorer - anyone use one in the surf ?

Max, For what my opinion is worth,I have the Stealth and use it all the time Land and surf. I bought a few months ago and since have found nine Gold rings in the shallow water. i usually average two or three a year with 10.5 stock coil. If sensitivity is too high I get some falsing with wave movement. i think you will like it, i do.with the amount of gold you find anyway you will clean the beaches out.good luck and keep up the great posts and pictures. i had hard luck with the wot this summer ...............maybe have been the way i was using it............i found some stuff with it, but i had to give it up.................it was toooooo heavy for me and the waves gave it a fit - snatching it all around in and out
plus i am a rubber and it hated to be rubbed on the sand.

it did pretty good off a inch or so...............

i bought it from dave at dixie and he said ralph should have it ready one day next week for me................i had him make the cable 6ft. with no pig tail.

i will keep u all in the loop
