most but I don't care an did you know that I used to collect old football cards 25 years ago, didn't think so, here is a small sample of some of my cards that are still packed away in boxes, like everything that I have, I hope to pass them down to some one that just loves the history of it all and hold in their hand a small part of Americas past  What do you own from your past, I still own and drive my first new car from 1977, 32 years ago

I owned complete football sets of 1959, 1961, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973,1974, 1975, 1976.

I stopped collecting baseball and football in 1976. I sold all the football sets when I got back into collecting baseball back in 1988.
I had a second year Joe Namith card in mint condition that I traded for a complete factory set of 1989 Upper Deck baseball when it was HOT!.
I had a boatload of Bowmam football cards that I also cashed in for baseball cards in 1989.

I collected until 1994 and stopped again. Way too damned expensive a hobby for me, much less a kid wanting to collect. I have over 300K baseball cards now (between 89 - 94) and I have complete baseball sets from 1969 thru 1976, 1986 - 1994. Now I only collect, when I collect, Washington Senators/Nationals baseball sets.

My favorite player was and still is Frank Howard. The Quiet Giant! The Capital Crusher. HONDO!!!!! Good player on a piss poor team. Glad the Dodgers traded him to us back in the 60's!

All of the cards now just take up space and one day when the market turns around enough, I'll sell most everything I own. I'll keep my Senators collection for a while longer but even that will go onto the market when the time comes.

I also had season tickets to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Rockies Triple-A farm team) for a number of years and I have collected quite a few autographs of players and coaches that passed through the Springs. I hope Todd Helton continues to do well and that one day he ends up in the HOF. I have a lot of his cards autographed. I have a Heine Manush glove (my dad's) that I still own and won't sell because dad and I played catch some times and he used that glove. It is a very old glove too!

Enough about me.....
