It appears to be made of silver but doesn't have a hallmark. The top comes off and lead can be stored inside the hollow tube. The sleeve near the tip moves the pencil tip in and out of the tube.
It was found in an old park in Victoria, B.C.
Any idea how old this is? Does it have any value?

This one on ebay is almost the same but has a cap on the tip...

Thanks for that picture. I can't wait to see what the one that I found looks like when its cleaned up.
Its definately not in perfect condition. I was sure surprised when I found it because when I saw it for the first time I thought it was just a thick piece of wire <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
