I might be on to something.....anyone ever lose a dog?

Pete in MI

I see those Lost Dog signs from time to time and always wonder if the animal is lost or around here something that was picked up by an eagle, hawk or other predatory bird. (we have lots of predatory birds up here - was even surprised to see an eagle tearing into a car hit deer along the road).

I think I came up with a way of getting a lost dog back (if a bird didn't get it).

Anyone who has a dog in the house might have experienced this situation. The dog is lying quietly on the floor beside you or at your feet. You reach for the cable box or tv remote control to change channels or do a channel check and...

the dog is now standing between you and that infra-red eyeball of the cable box or tv and you can't do anything but tell the dog to get out of the way. Once out of the way you change a channel but then there is that dog again between the remote and the infra-red eyeball again. Hmmmm...that happens way too often to be a coincidence right?

So if ya lose your dog...grab your tv remote and head outside....shouldn't be too long before the dog is in front of you and that remote control.

(Either I am on to something or I really need something to do to keep my hands and mind busy)

..I read a while ago about a couple that traveled thru Alaska in a motor home---they stopped, and let their poodle out...WELL:the story goes a Golden Eagle swooped down, grabbed that poodle, and flew away with it-they didnt get trhe dog back,either...There are also a LOT of coyotes up in that area too,Pete...I wouldnt put it past them to sneak in at nite, and grab a fido,or a kitty....

You have toooo much time on your hands! You better go swingin!
