Hi all. I usually just rent metal detectors until I find one that I really enjoy. I plan on renting the Whites Prizm 2 again in a few weeks. I rented it about a month ago and really liked it for its simplicity, but I didn't have alot of time to get to know it and use it. I will be going back up to my uncle's farm in Wisconsin in a few weeks. I did some research on the soil conditions up there, and it consists mainly (in the area my uncle's in) of clay. I like to dig everything so I use an "all-metal" and discriminate nothing. I would still consider myself an "amateur" at metal detecting, and so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how I could get the most "depth" out of this model that I plan to rent? I know a few of the "basics" of the machine, such as raising the sensitivity on it to increae depth, (or so I thought I read somewhere), and to use a normal swing speed (I was told to take about 2 seconds per swing going left to right). In my last visit to my uncle's farm I had some success with it, (I found an old "tootsie-toy" truck, and a 1987 quarter), but I was wondering if there were any settings that anyone would suggest to maximize depth with it in the soil conditions I mentioned above? Thank's for any suggestions. Randy
