I need to regroup

NH Bob

New member
I've run contests on different forums sending out prizes with my return address plus given out too much info trying to help people. My address is not a secrete as yours isn't either. Thanx to computers.
This was more than one person and they knew exactly what they were after.
I really enjoyed the forums but feel I need a break from it all.
I asked for trouble by posting my finds. Please be more cereful with yours.

The world has changed since we were kids. Not long ago, if you wanted to find the car keys, you'd look in the car where you kept them. We didn't lock our homes and never hesitated to help a stranger. It is sad for any of us to think that a burglary could happen in our neighborhood. But it can. And Bob is one of the most recent victims who will testify to that.

When I read Bob's first post, it got me thinking about the world today and just how protected any of us are? So I did a bit or research and found dozens of interesting articles with some startling statistics. I would like to share a few with you:

First things first, the problem of home burglaries and home invasions is an ever increasing threat to all American homeowners.

In the latest year that statistics were released, 2004, the Bureau of Justice reported that:

You said Time, Light and Noise are the biggest enemies of a burglar. The biggest enemy to a burglar is A HOME OWNER WITH A GUN. HH Dennis in Idaho

That will work IF you are home when it happens.

For the record, to all you burglars out there.... I am home and it is always loaded. :stretcher: HH Randy

You can't see it from the road and I own guns. Two signs saying Beware of dog and Every one that knows of me knows I carry a gun, Always.
Who ever did this knew all about my coins.
