I ordered the 10x14 Excelerator Coil for the Ace250...

the other day and I am very glad I did. I called to ask a rep about the coil and see when they would have it back in stock. He told me they were due in early November. He said they only had a limited number of them coming in and wanted to know if I wanted to order. I told him I had no intentions of ordering this early but it wouldn't hurt anything. I told him to go ahead and process my order. Total with shipping came out to $109.90.
Today I pulled up the page the coil is on and it has gone up to $149.95 and $9.95 shipping. Good thing I didn't put off ordering it until later.

I ordered mine yesterday and tryed my best to get it at the price thay had before but I couldn't do it. So I had to go for the $149.95. He said they just got them in and it would be shipped today. 2 feet long. Wow. Hope I can lift it.

I thought about getting one, I found a used one for $65.00, but didn't get it yet. Let me know how you guys like yours and if you do i will get mine.

What depth should it take the 250 to , at what are extra benefits of the big coil????????

I got my 10 x 14 about 3 months ago. Dug a couple dimes/pennies at 8", but what I really like is how much ground you can cover in a day. I was worried about pinpointing with it, but it is pretty easy. Get the best tone in pp mode, and it will be directly below the X in the Excelerator decal. I may never take this coil off!! It was heavy for the first few hunts, now I don't notice it.

That's how the largest factory coil for the ACE felt to me at first, also. Now it's normal feeling. I would never go back to the standard factory coil now unless I broke this one, and I can't see that happening any time soon.

Talked to Kellyco this morning and found out that coil now goes for $149,,, or if you purchase the ACE 250 you can get the coil
for $99 now.
A few weeks ago when I talked to them about that coil it was going for $99 but none in stalk. Had wanted one at that time.
Not very happy with that change of policy:confused:

Yea I don't really like the fact that they changed the price either, the didn't have them to sell, so they put up a low price. now that they have them they jacked up the price again. that is just wrong. I might find another place to order one even if i have to pay the 150 at least kellyco wont get the money. I found one for 65 bucks but I dont know if the guy wants to sell it now, he wants to sell both the 250 he has and the coil together.

I'm wondering if you noticed any difference to the audio if you whipped the coil over a target, ie the length of the signal on coin sized targets?
Thanks.
Mick Evans.

The audio tone is the same. But if you are catching the coin with the bottom of the coil, you may have to pull the coil back a foot to get the pinpoint under the X on the decal. In coin mode, the stock coil skipped the old bottle caps, the 10 x 14 will give a quarter signal on those now.

It will go deeper than the 9x12 cover more ground separate good not to heavy just a nice coil to clear a area of deep items need to crank it up to shoot really deep.

The EXcelerator line is made for Kellyco. Anyone else that has it bought it from Kellyco.

Got the coil. I have used it for a little over an hour. It's a great coil but I am not man enough to handle it for any length of time. If I was younger I could have swung this coil all day. It's not that it's that heavy but the size throws it off balance. Old age catches up with a body. It will get some really good depth and pinpointing is simple. You can cover a great deal of ground with this coil. It's not bad in thrashy areas either. I just can't swing it long enough to suit me.
