I pay taxes so....

I guess some people hunting before you ruined it for everyone.
If your a consciences hunter you should be able to detect in your parks

I agree.
Say there was a spot allocation..A hunter got to work a grid or plot and after an hour a park employee checks to see if damage was being done. If so then out you go..
I don't know how the parks personnel could protect the land from shovel and ax type morons so I guess a total ban is their easiest option.

You pay taxes so that some stupid bureaucrat can tell you what you can and can't do. How's that for irony.

I feel your pain, I live up here in maine and there is law that was passed in 1966 NHPA which stands for the National Historic Preservation Act which prohibits any metal detecting in state parks or the taking of any items that are 100 yrs or older and that even means trash at some sites which is totally stupid in my book, but yeah me and you the tax payer are losing rights daily on different little things all the time we take for granted, but we got to stand up to these beaucratic S O B's before we lose it all, at the time when the law was brought into effect it was suppose to detear looters of the day, i geuss the way i look at it is I rather see someone get it than see it rot in the ground or polutting the area or what ever they call it just a thought.
