I played around with the 15x12 SEF

Not heavy at all and very sensitive to small pewter buttons. I learned how to pinpoint by accident. Sweep over the target in one direction, then turn 90% and sweep again. The target was between the center of the coil but down by the heal on the original sweep. Cool!

The 15x12 is a very good coil but in my opinion only on Pasture or junk free area's i usually see a depth increase of about 8-10% on coins but on something bigger like a buckle the depth can be upto 6inches extra or maybe more in depth which is a massive increase on the stock coil,i also find the T2 runs very stable with the big coil and pinpointing is bang on the mark.Downside's it can get a little tiring if you swing it all day but you can cover much more area within that day.

The coil that i mainly shoot from the hip is the 12x10 SEF in my mind this is the one that i use instead of the stock coil, its deeper than the stock coil and also about the same weight maybe just a little heavier but you can swing this coil all day long and i find it makes the T2 run alot smoother the settings that i usually use here in the UK are 80-85 sens,Disc4 and 2+.

If i am shooting the larger coil and it starts too get noisy i will reduce sens down to say 70 and this will usualy rectify any problems, the build quality is very good and finds rate have certainly improved especially on pasture and we are talking very deep targets.
