I posted a video about the F19 settings

Have to echo Mike's sentiments about watching your videos Bill. I especially enjoyed the F5 videos, the Omega videos and several others are on my regular watch rotation. The F-19 vid you posted was very informational as well. Makes me wish I still lived in north Georgia. I had a home there not far from the battlefields around Resaca, I bet the F-19 would be in its element there.

Mike, you're no slouch yourself. I've read about every and any post you have on the F5. Mine's still waiting for its maiden voyage (kids/wife/work all in the way right now, lol) but I think I've gotten a good handle on things from what you two gents have posted online.

HH all.

I believe I was referring to the Bounty Hunter Land Ranger Pro. Looks like a good unit for the money.

sorry, yes I see that now.....and I agree, the Land Ranger Pro looks like great value......but if I had one I'd want to put the 'greek series' 5X10 coil on it.....and would have to find a push-in type connector to do it. (along with the mod).....

It's pretty easy to see why they use the push-in connectors on the BH Pro series.....It would be a no brainer if the existing greek series screw-on coils just worked.....If anyone knows offhand an electrical supplier that sells both types of connectors I'd appreciate the information....

Ebay

the screw on are are the same male and female connectors as 5 pin mic or cb radio. The push in male and female or 6 pin 240 degree connectors. center 6th pin is not used. Cheapest option is to buy 10" 5 pin mic extension cable and cut in half. then order a male and female pin din connector and solder to each piece. then you have a push to screw and a screw to push adapter for a grand total of $9. The push ends are a buck the screw ends are about $2-3. So FTP probably saves a 2 bucks on connectors and thinner coil cable on the bh series which can be a pretty high percentage of cost of manufacturing.
