I seen some guy swinging a detector the other day in a location that is DEFINITELY NOT smart!!!......

...Over here in Montague,they have been plagued with extensive mud flats,as the water receded.....in one area where the highway goes over the river at the end of White lake in Montague,there are extensive mud flats on one side of the lake,with a deep-water channel on the marina/boatslip side..I seen this guy WAY OUT on these half-dried mudflats,at least 250 yards,from shore,close to the deep-water channel,swinging that detector like there was no tomorrow.As warm as it has been,odds are good,there are spots under that mud that are still not frozen,and if he'd gone through,only God knows how far he woulda sunk.As we were told in school:"TIME TO PUT OUR THINKING CAPS ON!!".....:wacko:................
