Spoke to tech at Minelab today. Turns out coil was bad- saltwater got in, must have had a leak somewheres. But, they're replacing the coil, box test of OK and it should be on it way back. should be here by wednesday--Hopefully intact.

Going through withdrawls. My mono-tone, single freq. just doesnt cut it.
Hit the beach monday with it and dug a mininum of 70 bottle caps from the Spring breakers. Score $4 in change and a couple of junk earrings.

So, was the coil covered under your warranty? I sure hope so, but I hear the housing isn't covered for water damage, but maybe the coil is. Boy, what a bummer, but good that your getting it back soon. I can understand your withdrawals, especially if it's a "time sensitive" site that your detecting in.
