I usually don't endorse Kellyco, but....

In a Google search for XL Pro, they are selling new XL's for $449 plus shipping and they will throw in free phones, bag and a few other things. There is a limited supply, no doubt. I wished I'd known, I just paid $400 for a slightly used one out of warranty. Ron

You much be looking at Google's cache of their old XL Pro page. Kellyco still has it on their server, but if you enter their main page and try to find a link to it, there is not one. They sold out of them back around middle of January (clearance sale). I missed their last one by about 2 hours. Called the regional Whites Distributor after that and they were out also.

I lucked up and found one at a local dealer (demo model) and "stole" it for $325 after a little negotiations (after all it was a "discontinued" model and the floor model, <G>). Not a scratch on it. In fact it looked like it had never been off their display rack (mfg date code showed it was a 2002 model). Since they are a Whites dealer, I still got the full 2 year warranty. Bought the case and headphones off ebay for another $40.

Seems the source of new XL Pro's is totally dried up by now. I saw a used one sell for mid $400's last week on another board with no extras and only 1/2 the warranty left. Before it's over with, these suckers might actually be worth more than we paid for them.

So Ron, your recent purchase may not be out of line with current market price after all. I've seen quite a few requests posted on several boards for XL Pro's. I wonder if White's will introduce a new analog meter model with the rest of the new models later this spring? (probably not). But the 5900/6000/XL Pro line still has a strong and loyal following.
