I was in clad heaven

I was hunting a yard with a house from the 1830's when I got a good hit. I cut the plug and scanned the hole per usual, but the target was in the plug. I gave it a few taps to loosen whatever it was and dimes started pouring out like water, 49 in all. I found pieces of paper, so someone must have dropped a coil of them.

At a field nearby, I scored a King George copper, no date but it is soaking. I got more excited about that copper than the clad spill, but if those dimes were Capped Bust or Seated instead of Roosies, that would have been another story. Ron

Cool finds. I'd be happy to find that many coins in a whole hunt, regardless of what they are. Always nice to get multiple finds in a hole. Congrats on the King George Copper.
Mick Evans.
