As some of you have read I am searching for info on how to change the ground balance on my Fisher F2. It is working good but I was thinking that it would get better depth if the ground balance wasn't set so positive for my ground. Today was the 1st. day detecting in wood chips - I got a hit regisitered 7 or 8 inches deep on the display and sure enough a coin was at about 8 inches deep. Dug several at this depth. I am getting less than 6 inches in the ground. So having a ground balance that is not so positive really increased my depth. Now bring on them schematics!!! I am in total belief that being able to adjust the g.b. on the F2 would make a good detector a great detector. Steve.
