I figured it was can slaw. In addition it was close to the road and all I was finding was trash. I had been searching the school because I found several silver dimes and lots of wheat's and one war nickle (not to mention the clad...but wait, I just did!). Anyhow Its a shirt pin possibly for a ladies blouse but I can't tell if its supposed to be a fancy K or a ribbon. But its .925 so I guess when you boil it down, I don't care...grin
 
Congrats and well done. That is an interesting pin. I am sure the star has some kind of meaning but I wouldn't know what it is. Either way, well done and thanks for sharing. HH -Marc\
