I wish Thomas Jefferson didn't have to put the "if" clause in this quote...

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from
wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

He should have used when instead of if! But too long in offices, they become gods and think they can do all things, especially rob the people of freedom and their money! Greed and Power go together!!! God Bless! Betty

As you study, you find many of our founding fathers worried greatly about future attempts to undermine, degrade, and destroy what they had built and accomplished. They had the foresight to understand evil and it's never ending war against the Freedoms they worked so hard to secure.

Unfortunately, it appears that their efforts to cover all the loop holes which might allow some future interests to tear down our system of Freedoms, were just not good enough.

I never thought I would live to see and hear what I am seeing and hearing from our central government. When we openly and publicly hear some of our highest ranking elected and re-elected officials make statements indicating that our "Constitution" is possibly "an outdated document no longer really relevant in today's world", ..................... we are done as a nation and our time is short.

Most amazing to me is, when these clowns make statements like this, ......... there is no uproar from anyone, ............. nothing, ..... the American people are for the most part silent. Have we as Americans really and so quickly lost our reverence for the cornerstones of what we as a nation stand for? It sure appears so. I guess we can thank all our Liberal universities for the wonderful poisons they have spread into our society since about the mid 70s. "We the people" were warned, ............. and are now paying the price for our fence sitting.

Our forefathers would have long ago been in the streets, armed and marching on Washington ready to die and re-establish, .......................... and "we the people", they worked and died for, ........just sit idle like cattle and wait for our eventual demise.

Thanks for your post, Zecton, I agree with you and many are waking up to what is really going on with our Gov't Leaders but it may be too late! But ay we citizens arise and take our Nation back from all the ungodly or sadly mistaken Liberals and illegal immigrants! Amen! God Bless Betty
