Since this is only 6 months later and Garrett is already shipping, if they did, that would be an an example of a "horse-swap in midstream" done exceptionally well. Unless, of course, they were riding that horse already.
Its reported high performance and its moderate power consumption (by high-end PI standards) seem consistent with use of the jumpstart-flyback recovery approach.
I look forward to someone 'scoping the transmit waveform, and telling us what they find.
