I wonder if we have really grown up yet.

No, I think we are just bigger kids. We go out and find our treasures and bring them home as show and tell.

SEE WHAT I FOUND TODAY. A MARBLE, A BOTTLE AND SOME PENNIES.

I Do like the bottle most of all. I don't know anything about them, but this one looks old to me. If not, I like it anyway. It has no chips, just imperfections in the making.

Five really ruff wheat's: 1917, 1919, 1948, 1951, 1957

Total: Tootsie car, heavy aluminum disk which rang up as a silver dollar:rant: and a nice brass eyelet.

That is a nice bottle. It is machine made so it is no earlier than about 1915. It looks like an ink bottle to me. I can't tell how big it is. If it is small, it is for the desk. If it is big, it is a master ink bottle. I don't see a makers mark on the bottom or I could really nail down the era. It's a keeper for sure.

Looks like an old shoe polish bottle. The brass eyelet is a reins guide from an old horse drawn wagon, Nice finds.

Yeah if it has mold marks it's machine made and not blown. Should have a manufactuers mark on the bottom somewhere.

Thanks for the ID on the eyelet. I thought it was more than just an eyelet for hoisting an electric motor.

You are right about the eyelet.
I knew it was different, because the top of it was wider and thicker. I would guess that is where it would wear the most. The reins would rub the top more.

Thanks, John Y.
